The Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) is currently undertaking a performance audit into Project Wickenby - a multi-agency taskforce established in 2006 to bring to account those promoting and participating in the abusive use of certain tax secrecy havens. The audit will assess the effectiveness of Project Wickenby to detect, deter and deal with international tax fraud and evasion by Australian taxpayers.
