Iraq General Commission for Taxes presentation

Taxpayers Australia conducted a presentation to delegates of the Iraq General Commission for Taxes and Ministry of Finance on 12 July 2010 in relation to the administration of taxes in Australia, the burdens placed on Australian taxpayers and a general overview of the Australian taxation system.

Trust Seminars

Taxpayers Australia conducted Superannuation Seminars on 13 July and 15 July 2010 in Melbourne and Sydney. The following topics were discussed during the sessions:

• High Court decision in Bamford and the Decision Impact Statement
• Trust distribution for the 2010 year
• Implication of Taxation Ruling: TR 2010/3: Division 7A and Unpaid present entitlements
• Trust losses, and
• Distributing capital gains
